How much content of feed magnesium oxide is good for manufacturers?

It is good to have a magnesium oxide content between 80% and 90% active. Active magnesium oxide can play a significant role in the building materials industry. Now let's talk about the importance of active magnesium oxide in the building materials industry. The main components of magnesium oxychloride cement are magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride. To be more precise, magnesium oxychloride cement is produced by combining the active magnesium oxide in magnesium oxide with the chloride ions in magnesium chloride to produce a chemical reaction. Feed magnesium oxide

Why can't products with low activity be used? The following simple explanation: activity, over burning, and under burning are inversely proportional to the composition of magnesium oxide. Also, because the production of magnesium oxychloride cement depends on activity, both over burning and under burning products are redundant impurities in the building materials industry. The following is a detailed description of the relationship between the three components:

The excessive amount of burnt products is mainly reflected in the following points:

1: The color of magnesium oxide turns yellow, even deeper;

2: When testing finished magnesium oxide products, the content of magnesium oxide (MgO) is generally relatively high (reaching over 90%)

3: When making finished building materials, excessive calcined magnesium oxide can reflect slow solidification or even non solidification. There is also a phenomenon of halogenation and alkalization (due to low activity, it is not possible to fully react with the chloride ions in magnesium chloride)

Underburned products in magnesium oxide are mainly reflected in:

1: The color is generally white, and some are cyan;

2: When testing, the content of caustic soda (IgL) is relatively high (some reach 20% - 30% or above), and the magnesium content is very low;

3: When making finished building materials, if there are too many undercooked products, it can cause magnesium oxide products to condense very quickly (I have encountered customers using problematic magnesium oxide from other manufacturers, and there is a phenomenon of heating and solidification in the mixer). After forming the products, there will be cracking, deformation, halogen return, and alkali return. (Bursting and deformation are caused by the agglomeration and heating of magnesium oxychloride cement within a short period of time, while the phenomenon of backhalogenation and alkalization is caused by insufficient active content.) To control the active content, the only way is to try to select the over burnt and under burnt products during the sintering and selection process, and the remaining part is active, also known as active magnesium oxide!
